1."AN EYE FOR AN EYE ONLY MAKES THE WHOLE WORLD BLIND." I agree with this quote because if someone does something and you do it back to them, it only hurts both of you. Let's say that someone gets mad at you and starts talking bad about you, and you do it back, the problem isn't getting resolved, its just getting worse.
2. I feel that one of my biggest mistakes was not trying hard enough in middle school. My parents gave me the privilege of going to a private school, and I didn't take advantage of it. I'm not saying that I got bad grades, I actually got pretty good grades, but I was never willing to go the extra step. I had many opportunities to get an even higher grade, but I didn't want to, and because of that, my parents decided to take me out of the school. If only I had listened to my mom when she would tell me to "do that extra project" or "go for honors," if only I had done that, then I would still be at New Roads, with my friends.....I guess this experience taught me to try my best, and not to be content with something that's just "okay."
3. i think that you had us listen to this story [http://www.npr. org/templates/ story/story. php?storyId= 6196795] to make us understand that its not always a bad thing when we make mistakes. Usually when you make a mistake, you end up feeling bad because someone brings you down, or you get in trouble for it.... but you're trying to show us that if we make mistakes, we can learn from them without feeling bad. Plus there's no fun in always being right. Like Jon Caroll said "Success is boring."
